DecemberHoroscope 2017 – Overview
The focus during December 2017 is with Saturn, Lord of the Karmic Rings and time itself! During the first week of the month Saturn returns to line up with the center of our galaxy. This black hole has infra-red rays which helps us to clean out all the outdated beliefs we are still running around our brains – especially regarding what is right, fair and good for us!
After travelling right around the Zodiac (since leaving the Seagoat behind in early 1991), on December 20 Saturn returns to Capricorn, the sign he rules. Saturn teaches us discipline, integrity and what the rules are in life, in Capricorn he is intent on helping us reach our true potential and status in the world.
What was going on in your life from 1988 through to 1991? So now it’s time to put the rubber on the road again! Just over a day later the Sun will join him in the sign, for the December Solstice, the longest or shortest day (depending on whether you are South or North of the equator). This sets up the energy for the following 3 months. This occurs in a somewhat austere fashion as with the Sun conjunct Saturn we need to take our responsibilities seriously – especially those relating to our personal development and growth. Mercury returns to direct motion just 36 hours after the Solstice. This sets up a turning point for getting things completed in time for the Christmas break! The Gemini Full Moon is a Super Moon, at one of the times when the Moon is closest to the Earth so extra strong! Sol and Luna will form a tense square to newly direct Neptune, ready to sort out what is illusion and what is reality.
