Go, go GO!
Aries are the proverbial batteries of the Zodiac. Their overall zeal and boundless energy makes everyone around them feel tired just watching all the activity. What this Sun Sign can accomplish with focus is impressive, but their most redeeming quality is really their courage.

Aries Traits, Personality, & Characteristics
The Aries will stride into places where no one else dares to go, put on their candid persona and “ram” right through a problem.
Aries does not suffer avoidance – just get to the point and get on with things.
Some people in this Zodiac animal’s circle see Aries as impulsive, and an Aries could do well to at least consider their view. It may be that sometimes stopping and planning a little bit could keep you from unpleasant disputes.
When you have an Aries in your life you’re dealing with the ruling planet of Mars, who was a war God. So your ram won’t be able to sit still in the face of conflict or obstacles.
The Ram won’t always make “war”, but they’re not ones to don flower-power peace T-shirts either. The key life lesson for most Aries is how to take that bundle of power and find ways to apply it mindfully and clearly, without muddled spontaneous reactions.
Elementally Aries comes under the dominion of Fire. This also adds to the Ram’s energy reserves, but also creates a highly unpredictable environment. Aries can be warm and bright or a raging fire storm.
Thankfully those who follow Aries into conflict also discover that they know how to survive, and have no hesitancy lending those skills to difficult scenarios provided the followers listen to the Ram’s lead.
Aries Physical Traits & Characteristics
The Aries “cut” has definitive geometry with a chiseled chin and well-defined mouth. Because of their activity level, their bodies tend to be honed, athletic and rugged looking.
Health wise this Sun Sign has no trouble with keeping up. The only part of their body that should be guard diligently is their head. If an Aries plans to be involved in sports skipping protective head gear is not an option.
Note that those born under this Astrological Sign have an unreal metabolism (yes, we’re all jealous) but that means they really need to eat foods that keep them going without sacrificing nutrition.
Aries Symbol and Its Meaning
The story of Aries is tied with the Greek myth about the Golden Fleece. The story goes that Poseidon was the father of the Ram, which was given as a gift to King Aeetes. The king placed the golden fleece under the protection of a dragon. Until Jason (of Jason and the Argonauts fame) retrieved the fleece he could not take his rightful place on the Throne of Thessaly. Jason succeeded with the help of Medea and placed the fleece in Zeus’ temple.
One of the important aspects of Aries is that the Sun crossed the equator moving north to south on the Vernal Equinox. This marks the first day of spring, which increased this constellation’s association with fire.

The Aries Child
The word nap does not exist in a Ram’s vocabulary. You’ll be lucky to get them into bed at night. There is too much to see and do, and your Aries child wants it ALL. There is contagious enthusiasm about these children that attracts others.
No matter the number of friends, however, your Ram wants to come out on top of the pack. If they can’t or if their friends cannot keep up, they quickly become frustrated and give up, moving on to something else.
No matter their age, you’ll find your Ram unafraid to speak their mind. They may not hold onto the matter that set off such a strong reaction, but no one will forget it. That’s the fire and Mars element in your child. He or she is not destine to diplomatic status any time soon.
HINT: Aries children benefit more from short “times out” than parental confrontation.

The Aries Girl can be quite the class clown, always ready with a spontaneous response to nearly any situation.
She won’t be afraid of tests or dares, and actually thrives on proving herself. Many become tom-boyish in their adventures. After all, reliance is her middle name, combined with a pretty strong independent streak.
The Aries Girl will not like bossy people, and will stomp her heels and dig in when confronted in such a manner. Parents may struggle with keeping their authority on solid ground.

The Aries Boy meets the world on a footing that they seem to know instinctively but may confuse others. He will forever be going off on the next great quest, which also makes them very surprising (although a tad worrisome for mom and dad).
This Son Sign (you’ll get to know us, we love puns) will never be predictable or fit in the proverbial box. This makes them highly adaptable and able to overcome a lot of challenges that would leave other children in a fit of tears. The challenge for parents is balancing that intense confidence with a healthy dose of realism.

Aries Career, Pets & Pastimes
Finding work isn’t difficult for the Ram. Their work ethic makes it fairly easy to open doors even when the economy isn’t doing a happy dance. The Ram uses honest confidence in their skills to win potential employers over.
Rams do very well in sales – you can sell sand in the desert! Sports careers suit you as does hard and fast business wheeling and dealing.
The Aries needs an animal that keeps up with their highly active lifestyle, so an energetic dog may be ideal.
Interestingly enough, however, some Rams prefer a small creature that’s low maintenance so they don’t have to worry about it.
Anything competitive and that burns energy appeals to the Ram. They may get involved in historical reenactment to engage the “Mars” element, for example.
Many Aries also like outdoor workouts like running, rollerblading, etc.
Best Gifts for an Aries
Avoid practicality in shopping for the Ram. They want something fun and stimulating, especially new or cutting edge merchandise!
Help your Aries get ahead of the game in technology or give them some glitzy trinket they can show off.
Alternatively anything associated with food goes a long way to make the Ram smile.
