For December, the reversal of The Fool is fitting. Here, The Fool is just about to come full circle, but there are still some things left to do before completion of this cycle. Once he ties up loose ends and gains the experience he requires, he’ll transition right into the next quest: From every ending a new adventure is in store.
December requires careful planning. The Fool’s reversal is a cue to refrain from reckless action. Quick decisions will give rise to obstacles later. For those of us tempted to engage in something new, it’s better to wait where the energies of the New Year and a stronger resolve support the endeavor.
The Fool’s reversal shows every one of us is drawing close to the year’s end. We’ve almost made it one more full trip around the sun. January has all of us thinking about new beginnings, changes, transitions, and opportunities. It’s a transition that’s sometimes joyful and sometimes bittersweet.
