How Mickey Mouse Can Help You Master The Law of Attraction

Every day, clients ask me how to get the love, career, confidence, and success they dream of having. My answer is always the same; clear your blocks, conquer your fears, and become a Law of Attraction Badass.

If you’re not yet familiar with The Law of Attraction, it’s defined as the ability to attract into our lives whatever we’re focusing on. Today, The Law of Attraction is a gazillion dollar industry as well as a successful self-help system. However, its origins are believed to be rooted in the teachings of Buddha – specifically in the ‘what you have become is what you have thought’ principle.

Now, to become a Law of Attraction Badass fears must be faced and foiled. As a professional psychic medium I can often see the root of a client’s fears – in this life and past lives.

When it’s for the client’s highest and best good, Spirit urges me to introduce these matters into their reading. This can be uncomfortable for clients because, hey, who wants to face the shadow-self or do mirror work, right? But Spirit never disappoints and always sends through awe-inspiring Law of Attraction tips and techniques for each and every Beautiful Soul.

Sounds helpful and healing, huh? Yeah. Well, this past month, it’s been my turn to face the dreaded mirror, mirror on the wall. Complete with villains, heroes and spirit animals, oh what a Disney movie it’s been.

The Wonderful World of Woo Woo

Once upon a time in a land far, far away, I owned a really big business. Then, in 2007, I didn’t.

It was my choice to walk away because, after a while, battle scenes bore me. I decided to create a different reality for me and my 8 Aristocats. I moved home to the land of reimagination and conjured up a different life’s purpose. Metaphysics became my whole new world.

For the past 10 years I’ve happily talked to dead people and animals, helped find missing persons, and offered whatever messages Spirit channels through me.

I’ve created 2 of the largest metaphysical websites on the Internet – BuildingBeautifulSouls.com and WhatIsMySpiritAnimal.com.

I have a sweet little office.

I drink beer in our pool whilst riding my trusty unicorn steed.

I call my life “The Wonderful World of Woo Woo”.

At least it was until I had a dream that I started teaching again. Oh, then I had 2 astrology readings. Each astrologer revealed that my chart showed I was born to be a teacher and beginning in 2017 I’ll be doing a tremendous amount of teaching. And the coup de gras? According to my chart, I’ll be teaching for the next 17 years.

That’s when my whole new world became the Night On Bald Mountain scene from Fantasia. You know. When Chernabog raises all the evil spirits from the dead? It gave me nightmares when I was a kid and it wasn’t helping now, either.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the scaredest of them all?

Remember the mirror work I mentioned earlier? Part of my business in that land far, far away involved teaching. Lots and lots of teaching.

Incorporating teaching into my metaphysics practice means working with more people – like, in groups. The horror. I do NOT want to be where the people are.

Even if I faced my fears about people, I’d have to get a bigger office space. That means a bigger financial commitment. And you’ve never had fun till you’ve had to sublet a $3,000.00 per month office space.

Kicking and screaming the whole way, I finally admitted that I miss teaching. There. I said it.

What if I commit to this path and it all blows up in my face – again? What if I blow up in my own face – again? What if my business grows big and even more successful – again?

All at once I went from being a Law of Attraction Badass to being Flounder in Little Mermaid. Not sexy.

The biggest problem was, any time I don’t pay attention to and heed messages from Spirit all hell breaks loose and ain’t nobody got time fer dat. So I pulled my shitake together and went into a deep meditation.

I prayed for my fears to be replaced with visions of how I can be of more service as a metaphysician. I asked for my Spirit Animals to give me complete clarity and the strength to focus on what I DO want rather than obsessing on what I DON’T want (fear).

Without judgment, I honored my own neurosis needs by requesting that Spirit send me an obvious and irrefutable sign. I needed to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my own precognitive dreams and two astrologers were right.

I even told Spirit I would start looking for a bigger office but it would have to send me confirmation in the form of my Spirit, Totem, AND Power Animal – a Bear.

The day after my meditation, I searched for offices on Craigslist. While doing so, I had occasion to speak with the manager of the building where my current office is located. For ‘some reason’ he mentioned to me there were two larger spaces available – in the same building. Wow, now there’s some synchronicity for ya’ (she says with all the sarcasm she can muster).

After inquiring about the rental fees, I asked to see one of the spaces.

Here’s what happened:

• Saw space for first time. Fell in love. Had another whack attack.
• Saw space a second time. Fell deeper in love. Got frustrated for not being able to foil my fears.
• Saw space a third time. Faced the fact that past traumas were not healed. Drank beer.
• Did some serious, no-joke energy clearing and healing work.
• Saw space for fourth time. Saw obvious and irrefutable sign from Spirit.
• Bawled my eyes out. Spiritually signed a Soul Contract to begin teaching and take the space.

How Many Wonders Can One Cavern Hold?

The fourth time I went back to see the space the building manager said, “You’re killing me. Here’s the key. Knock yerself out.”

Oooo! I would be alone! I could smudge the office so its energy would shift and start helping me make the move a smooth and happy one!

With fav incense lit and Shamanic rituals in rare form I danced through the smoke. Scenes of happy clients and a happy Me materialized in the misty tendrils of 5 burning Nag Champa sticks.

Hey. When I smudge, I ain’t kiddin’ around.

On the way out the door, I heard the supply closet in the foyer said, “I WANNA be where the people are”.

Yes. The supply closet spoke to me. Everything has energy. Everything is alive. It’s science.

All the hairs on my body stood straight up. I knew I was supposed to open the closet and smudge it, too. I also knew something important was in that closet. Funny thing is, it had been completely empty the 3 other times I’d toured the space.

Slowly, I opened the closet door. I even stood behind the door, using it as a shield to protect me from whatever was sneaking around on its dark shelves. When the boogeyman man didn’t pop out, I inched my head around the door so I could see inside.

My heart stopped when I spied the fourth shelf. The obvious and irrefutable sign from Spirit was there.

Two days before, the closet had been completely empty save the shelves. Now, there was a key with a Mickey Mouse key chain. And not just any Mickey mind you – the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey.

Oh, good grief. I’m crying again.

The Magic Kingdom

Of all the obvious and irrefutable signs from Spirit this one was THE one. There is so much symbolism in the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse key chain that I made an info-graphic just to try and explain it all.

Aside from Mickey Mouse being an incredibly personal message from Spirit, in Asian cultures as well as in the Chinese Zodiac, Mice and Rats are symbols for luck and industrious in business as well as building wealth. I wanted an obvious and irrefutable sign, right?

So, what does all this Sorcerer’s Apprentice/Mickey Mouse stuff have to do with the Bear Spirit Animal I asked for?

Are you ready for this?

My name is Bernadette. It’s the feminine of the French name Bernard. The literal translation of Bernard is ‘brave bear’. Mom fought our dad like the dickens to name me ‘Bernadette’. She’s also the one who nicknamed me ‘Mickey Mouse’.

See what’s going on here? I AM the Mouse. I AM the Bear. The Mouse is the Bear. The Bear is the Mouse. In the most metaphysical terms, I showed up as myself, for myself. This is how Mickey Mouse can help you master The Law of Attraction! At the end of the day, you’ve got to show up for yourself.

Spirit, my mom, and my ‘self’ showed up to let me know I can do this! I AM this. I AM a teacher. We, three, also showed up to support my conscious mind when it finally admitted/realized it was time to face past traumas and current fears.

The experience humbled me as few things have. It was just the problem-free philosophy that I needed. My Law of Attraction Badassery is back!

I foiled my fears; held sacred space for the perfect sign to show up and it did!

Whatever your hopes and dreams, speak your truth and admit them. However you’re being called to serve humanity – ask for help, receive the help, trust that you are not alone. The Universe and your ancestors will show up to help you. YOU will show up to help yourself.

The Law of Attraction doesn’t work for some and not others. It works for everyone. You ARE the Law of Attraction.

So, get busy! You’ve got a lot of attracting to do and reality to create!

Finally, never forget that a dream is a wish your heart makes. Cinderella knew this truth and trusted in it. Look how life turned out for her!
