UFO Dreams

(see Astronaut, Space, Spaceship, Stars)

An unexplored, unrecognized, or unexpected aspect of yourself, brought out by a specific situation or relationship.

Possibly an alternative flying dream, especially if the ground is seen from the UFO’s perspective, or if you are inside the UFO.

A potential abduction memory. Many people claim to have been taken abroad UFOs for examination and experimentation, and often remember these experiences through dreams. Tremendous caution is issued here-the amount of public attention given to this topic can create false impressions that leak into the conscious mind during sleep.

A message from the Universal Mind, often pertaining to brotherhood and oneness among all Earth’s people. Look to the rest of the dream for more insight.

Ulcer Dreams

(see Body, Medicine, Physician)

Something that gnaws away at you, often causing distraction and irritability.

An indicator that there is an excessive amount of stress in your life that could eventually cause this malady. Take a break!

An open sore that seems difficult to heal because of inaccessibility or complications.

Umbilical Cord Dreams

(see Baby, Ties/Tying)

For someone who has been gravely ill, this represents holding on to life tightly and tenaciously.

Your connection to, and relationship with, your mother. Is this cord still tied to her? (see Women).

What color is the cord? If silver, this may be part of an OBE in which you see the silver cord that connects the body and spirit together.

A familial source of metaphorical nourishment. If you have needed support lately, and haven’t turned to your own family (especially your mother), consider this option.

Being broken: Having the connection between yourself and your family (specifically your mother) cut off in some manner.

Umbrella Dreams

Safety and protection from one’s emotional nature represented by rain.

An alternative type of armor that shields the bearer from elements of a situation to which she or he prefers not to be exposed.

If the umbrella won’t open, or collapses in the wind, this represents being beset by annoyances and little troubles that increase stress levels.

A leaky umbrella symbolizes having attention distracted from little but important details that can make the difference between success and failure.

Because of its shape, this can be another type of circle or wheel dream. See if any patterns appear on the umbrella, for more interpretive value.

Underground Dreams

(see Dirt, Cave)

An alternative type of death dream, in which being underground equates to burial.

What exactly appears underground? This can be symbolic of something that you’ve covered up so completely as to hide it even from yourself.

Digging underground may symbolize your own quest to uncover subconscious signals, spiritual gifts, or positive characteristics (see Excavation, Mine, Treasure).

The womb of Earth; a place of introspection.

Undines Dream

(see Fairy)

Unemployment Dreams

(see Jobs, Professions)

Traditionally an emblem of purity. In fairy tales, the unicorn becomes a mount to only chaste maidens, and befriends only those who are pure in spirit.

The horn of this creature is an alternative phallic emblem. It is also considered the most potently magical part of the animal-the “magic” in this sense being the seed of life (sperm).

If the horn of the creature is dipped into water, this represents the purging of some type of poison, be it emotional, physical, or spiritual.

In Greece, an alternative emblem for the moon goddess, and as such reflects a predominance of the intuitive nature in your decisions and interactions.

In China, this is a most beneficent dream. Here, the unicorn symbolizes the perfect balance between Yin and Yang, and all five elements in harmony (earth-air-fire-water-ether/void). Seeing one indicates goodwill and kindness toward you from others, as well as the presence of gentle, wise companions.

Uniforms Dreams

(see Apron, Clothes, Hat, Professions, Workers)

Wishing to conform to, or fit in with, a specific group or situation. The message of this dream, however, is that a uniform is only an external expression. The person inside does not change. So, the question you have to tackle is whether the changes necessary for this group or situation are conducive to personal growth and wholeness.

Urine Dreams

A figuratively “pissy” attitude that dampens everyone and everything it touches.

Ridding oneself of toxins of a literal or figurative nature, such as addictions.

Anger that is not expressed positively (e.g., getting “pissed”).

A way of marking your territory. Animals do this regularly.

Utopia Dreams

(see Garden, Island)

Hopes and wishes depicted in this most idealized, quixotic form. Be aware, however, that such perfection is rarely achieved in waking hours. So, ask yourself if you’re expecting too much too soon from a situation or other people.
