Jade Dreams

Dreams about Jade can portend the following:
Your station in life. In China, jade was used to indicate a person’s rank.
Love and commitment. The Chinese also felt jade was the perfect stone for lovers, ensuring their happiness (see Butterfly).
Among the Hopi Indians and Africans, Jade was fashioned into musical instruments, and as such becomes an emblem for harmony and creative use of what’s available.
Jade worn or carried in the dream represents increased mental faculties that also result in good business sense. If you’ve been pondering a new venture, now’s the time to act.
Jail Dreams

Jam/Jelly Dreams

A play on words indicating that you feel like you’ve gotten yourself into a “jam.”
Lacking form in your thoughts, or concrete convictions.
If being spread on bread, the need to apply a little sweetness to a situation or relationship.
Eating jellied bread in a dream foretells of pleasant interruptions.
Jar Dreams

Jester Dreams
The original clown, the jester represents the important things that get overlooked or ignored while absorbed in silliness.
Speaking or acting in “jest,” but not necessarily having people interpret this correctly.
In the Middle Ages, jesters relived people from their worries for a while, and often kept royalty happy so that less severe judgments got handed out. In a modern setting, this reflects taking much needed time to relax and enjoy life, and stop being such a difficult task master to yourself.

Jewelry Dreams

Meaning may sometimes be determined by where the jewelry is worn. For instance, necklaces lie near the throat, the center of communication. So, if a necklace felt very tight in the dream, this may indicate swallowing your words, or having communication strangled (see Choking).
Overly large or small pieces: Exaggerated senses. For example, big earnings might reveal a propensity for eavesdropping, while tiny ones indicate underdeveloped listening skills (see Ears).
The finer things in life; luxuries.
Wearing excessive jewelry in a dream indicates that the individual envisioned tries to impress others with wealth or possessions.
Jewelry that is not worn, but seen as a central image in a dream, should be reviewed for its component parts, like noting the significance of gems or metals used in its construction. Or, if a specific image appears as the jewelry’s focal point, that can also have meaning. For example, seeing an Egyptian ankh could represent renewed health or improved courage, whereas a pin depicting the Zodiac Sign Pisces might reflect a personal focus on productivity.
In the 2nd century C.E., Artemidorus wrote that women dreaming of fine jewelry would soon marry, have children, or increase their wealth.
Jinni Dreams

Dreams about Junni’s can be omens of the following:
The manifestation of wishes on the dream plane through a mythical figure.
The tendency to want (or expect) instant gratification in certain situations without really working for that goal.
Heeding universal law. Despite the jinni’s power in ancient tales, they had specific restrictions with regard to life and love. So, if the jinni does not grant your wish in the dream, it may be time for some soul searching about your motivations.
Restricted power. Even the jinns answered to a greater authority-they each had a master. Know your own limits and observe them wisely.
In a bottle: Feeling caged or “bottled up” and limited by some authority over which you have no control. Alternatively, a power or talent within yourself that you have hesitated to release.
Jobs Dreams

Concerns over your current work situation (or lack thereof), sometimes also related to how others perceive your performance on the job.
Unemployment: Seeing yourself unemployed in a dream has several potential interpretations. You may feel as if your professional skill or performance is somehow lacking. If so, find productive ways to improve your confidence, like getting extra training. This can also be a type of money or poverty dream, as jobs and financial security are so closely related. Or perhaps something is happening that makes you feel uncertain about the future of your career. If so, try to find the source of that apprehension.
Seeing yourself working can reveal that you are striving toward self-improvement. Look to see on what exactly you are working for more symbolism.
Jokes Dreams

As is often the case in waking reality, jokes often cover up something far more pertinent in your dreams. They are also a way of calling attention to things that you might otherwise overlook. Consider the subject of the joke, and the peripherals in the dream, for more insight.
Journey Dreams

Esoterically, the development of the soul through a spiritual sojourn.
Transition in life, from one phase into another.
Situational dream caused directly by pondered or forthcoming travel plans.
A renewed focus on life’s lessons. In the East, the importance of a journey is not determined by the path taken, or the destination, but by what you learn along the way.
Seafaring voyages represent diving into the subconscious or reconnecting with your Higher Self (see Boat).
Mountain journeys symbolize concentrating on the mind and intellect (see Climbing).
Also consider your mode of travel in these dreams for more insight. For example, a journey by train affords time to take in the scenery, thereby also allowing you to take in what’s happening along the way.
Judgment Dreams
(see Acquitted, Authority Figures, Police, Warrants)
Feelings of guilt playing themselves before the judge and jury of your Higher Self.
Examining the facts of a particularly perplexing problem in an alternative format in which you remain impartial.
Judges represent the law, in all sense of the term. This includes those guidelines imposed by family, culture, religion, and personal experience.
Juries symbolize impartiality and the chance for a more balanced opinion.
Obtaining bail is indicative of a temporary reprieve; not having to face the consequences of your words or action immediately, or being given more time to assemble the facts that prove your innocence in a matter.
Judging yourself using the conscience as a guide for personal development and eventual wholeness.
Juggling Dreams
Having too many responsibilities and too little time, or so many options from which to choose that you become indecisive.
What is the juggler juggling? Knives, for example, may indicate the need for extreme care and caution to avoid being hurt in your current situation. Juggling hearts could represent being torn between two or more lovers.
An extreme focus in your life on precision and timing. This focus may act as a coping mechanism during particularly trying times so that tasks get accomplished effectively (see Acrobatics).
Juice Dreams

Vitality and health.
The life force, especially if the juice is red. Energy that is flowing within you. Consider the fruit from which this juice comes for more symbolic meaning.
The proverbial “nectar of life” which, once internalized, supports joy, well-being, and the path to wholeness.
Jumping Dreams
Joyfulness and glee.
Successfully overcoming an obstacle (see Acrobatics).
Nervousness and anxiety (e.g., “being jumpy”).
Leaps of faith.
Avoidance or hasty movement (“jumping bail” or “jumping on the bandwagon”).
A visual representation of life’s ups and downs, some of which you may presently be experiencing.
Jungle Dreams

The chaotic world (e.g., “it’s a jungle out there”).
The wild, untamed animal nature within each of us that desires a place where it can run freely.
Filled with vines: Entangled situations in which almost every movement makes things worse.
Hidden hazards despite overwhelming appeal.
The heat and humidity of the jungle can metaphorically relate to feeling pressured or nervous (e.g., having “sweaty palms”).
Jupiter Dreams
